Thankfully, not all Republicans are spineless demagogues that buckle under partisan pressure and leave their principles behind for political gain. Kudos to Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger for his professionalism and level-headedness during the phone call with President Trump on Saturday. The insanity of this administration has been exhausting, but we will not give in to lunacy just yet.
Trump’s reliance on white supremacy and authoritarian rhetoric to rile up his base has coaxed ordinary people into a blind rage based on literal propaganda and fake news that is peddled not only by their own media of choice, but their president as well.
The deposition, now available to the public, consists of over 400 pages of Maxwell evading questions about the sex-trafficking operation she allegedly ran with the late Jeffrey Epstein. The release of the deposition came after Maxwell lost an appeal to keep the document sealed.

Despite the fact that we are all humans co-creating our existence with intertwined lives, so many are actively trying to dehumanize each other because they falsely think that their beliefs are so vastly different and incompatible. At least, this is the narrative on the surface. That right vs. left, red vs. blue, us vs. them, tribalism that we get spoon-fed on a daily basis.
Despite the incessant cries from Republicans about “left-wing” radicalism and violence, the data shows that right-wing extremism is much more prevalent and deadly in the United States. Considering the fact that there are many former and active police officers involved in these right-wing extremist groups, this issue should certainly be drawing more attention.
Although the Trump administration and his supporters have tried to dismiss the economic crisis as collateral damage from the pandemic, he is undeniably partially responsible. The rhetoric of the right deflects away from such realities, even though Trump’s “strong economy” was and is part of the foundation of his presidential campaign and platform.
